Animal sanctuary
We have a small animal sanctuary within the grounds of the restaurant which is home to 12 chickens and 24 guinea pigs. All our pets are rehomed from the Blue Cross, Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary and from the general public. We are not a petting zoo but we do allow guests into the enclosure to see the animals under supervision and if you have pre-arranged your visit with Sharon. We encourage a relaxed environment for the animals and their welfare is paramount. We do allow guinea pigs to sit on your lap and you can pet them within the guinea pig house which is equipped with seating, heating & lighting. Everyone is welcome!
We offer exclusive children's guinea pig events throughout the year where we teach children about animal welfare and how to look after their pets. It is fun, interactive and includes lots of guinea pig cuddles, of course
